Thai Foot Massage

The aim of this treatment is to release blocked energy within the body’s Sen. These are the ten Thai meridians, which are based on the 72,000 nadis or energy channels described in yoga and ayurveda.

Thai Foot Massage focuses on the lower legs and feet, incorporating aspects of Shiatsu, reflexology, Chinese massage and yoga. The therapist’s hands and a rounded wooden massage stick are used to stimulate all areas of the receiver’s feet to restore a healthy flow of energy throughout the body. Reflexology points are treated with accupressure and the energy lines in the lower legs are massaged using oil/cream. The massage promotes flexibility and relaxation of muscles, joints and tendons, allowing them to perform more efficiently. It can also improve circulation to the lower body, ease foot problems and release toxins in the tissues. This is a relaxing treatment that is received while lying on a massage bed.

Recently I treated myself to two Thai Foot Massages with Eve and feel that, as a result, there is real progress towards unlocking stiffness in all my joints. Through massage and applying gentle pressure on the various points on my feet and ankles, I experienced a release of tension and a deep feeling of relaxation. What a wonderful uplifting and restorative experience. Thank you Eve ‘ Nikki Mcnaught.

I had a Thai Foot Massage with Eve a couple of weeks ago. It was truly amazing. I came away feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. I suffer from neuropathy and battle mainly with my feet - it feels like pins and needles most of the time. When I left Eve my feet felt like they belonged to me again; there were no pins and needles and I could actually feel all four corners of my feet, which I haven’t felt for many years. I have noticed my balance improved slightly as well. For the next week, my feet were my own again; this feeling lasted for about seven days. Gradually the neuropathy returned, but what a relief I had for that period. I’ll definitely book another session soon.’ Eileen Covarr.

The treatment is R650 and lasts 75 minutes.
